Sara Haines is no stranger to the spotlight, but during a recent episode of *The View*,

the star made a rather unexpected admission that has left both the show’s audience and her cohosts in stitches.

During a conversation about Jack Schlossberg’s controversial comment regarding the attractiveness of his grandmother versus his wife,

Haines took the discussion in a very different direction, causing quite the stir.

The comment in question came during a segment about a viral moment from Schlossberg, the grandson of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis,

who jokingly asked his followers on X (formerly Twitter) whether his wife, Usha Vance, was “way hotter” than his iconic grandmother.

Joy Behar, a longtime cohost on the show, quipped about the difficulty of assessing the attractiveness of elderly family members. She reflected on her own grandmother, saying, “My grandmother, Antonia, her name was, she was 60, I can’t tell that she was hot. She never took her apron off, so how would I even know how hot?”

It was at this point that Haines decided to shift the conversation in an amusing direction. “Even when it’s family, you have eyes, though. Like, my dad’s hot and I say it all the time,” Haines boldly declared. Her remark quickly caught the attention of her fellow panelists, including cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin, who jumped in to support Haines, adding, “Your dad is hot.” To which Haines responded, “My dad’s hot. He just is.”

The casual mention of her father’s attractiveness sparked a chain of laughs from both the audience and the *View* panel, but Haines wasn’t done yet. In fact, she went on to elaborate further, detailing how she’s been hearing about her father’s looks for years. “My friends, my whole life talked about my hot dad,” Haines shared, admitting that the constant comments about her dad’s attractiveness became a running joke. She even mentioned that *The View*’s producer, Brian Teta, who was watching from behind the scenes, was visibly disturbed by her public commentary on her father. “No, because I’m not blind. I’m not attracted to him, he’s just hot. I can see him,” Haines clarified with a laugh.

But the moments didn’t stop there. Haines dove deeper into her childhood memories, sharing a particularly funny incident involving her dad. She recalled a time when a friend of hers, while walking to Haines’ house, saw her dad mowing the lawn without his shirt on. “My friend Emily was like, ‘Oh my God, who’s mowing your lawn?’ And I was like, ‘That’s my dad!'” Haines exclaimed, much to the amusement of her cohosts.

It wasn’t just Haines who got in on the fun, though. Sunny Hostin chimed in with her own personal anecdote, sharing that she, too, had a “hot dad.” The camaraderie between the cohosts created an even lighter atmosphere as they all joked about their fathers’ good looks. “You have a hot dad,” Haines confirmed, before sharing how the subject of “hot dads” has been a topic of conversation for as long as she can remember.

This hilarious moment on *The View* comes just a few months after a previous appearance by Haines’ father, Dick Haines, who made a guest appearance on *The View*’s Behind the Table podcast. During that episode, a flashback was brought up about a *Hot Topics* segment involving bondage. Behar had made a casual remark about a man in the audience who fit a particular description, which led Haines to jokingly clarify, “That’s my dad. I can assure you it’s not men like that,” pointing out her dad’s unique qualities that were easily identifiable to those who knew him.

The hilarious and unfiltered admission about her “hot” dad has since gone viral, sparking laughter and lighthearted debates about the fine line between admiration and awkwardness when it comes to family. However, the playful conversation is yet another example of the candid and unscripted moments that make *The View* such a beloved talk show.

In the end, it seems that Sara Haines’ sense of humor and open, genuine personality have only added to the charm of her appearance on *The View*. And as for her father, Dick Haines—well, it’s safe to say that he’s earned a little extra love and attention, thanks to his daughter’s hilarious admission.
