Pete Wicks, the *Strictly Come Dancing* sensation, took a candid step into the spotlight during an appearance on the ITV spin-off *Loose Men*,

where he shared personal insights about his tattoos and his views on relationships.

The show, which follows in the footsteps of its successful predecessor *Loose Women*,

features a panel of male celebrities discussing various topics ranging from personal experiences to broader societal issues.

On Wednesday, February 5, Pete, along with fellow panelists Jordan Banjo, Danny Jones, and host Craig Doyle, delved into the topic of tattoos, offering some honest and reflective thoughts.

Pete, known for his extensive and detailed body art, has become almost as famous for his tattoos as he is for his TV appearances.

On *Loose Men*, he opened up about some of the tattoos that are etched into his skin, admitting that while many of them hold sentimental value and represent important moments in his life, there are a few he regrets. “I am pretty covered, and a lot of them mean something to me; they all hold memories,” Pete said.

However, despite the personal connection he has to most of his tattoos, he revealed one that left him feeling uncertain. “Some I regret. You know I have got Sam Thompson tattooed on me,” Pete explained, referencing his close friend and fellow *Celeb* star. To the surprise of the audience, Pete lifted his trousers slightly to reveal the tattoo of Sam’s face permanently inked on his skin.

The conversation shifted to the broader subject of tattoos, with Pete reflecting on their symbolic nature. “We were talking about this before, it’s an expression, isn’t it – they hold memories like photographs and different views in my life,” he remarked, with a hint of nostalgia. While Pete acknowledged the significance of his tattoos, the regret over some designs remained evident. His openness about these regrets allowed fans a rare glimpse into the thought process behind his ink choices.

As the conversation evolved, the focus shifted to Pete’s views on relationships. Recently linked to *I’m A Celeb* star Maura Higgins, Pete, 37, has often been labeled as a “commitment phobe” in the public eye. On *Loose Men*, he addressed the stereotype head-on, sharing his perspective on commitment and how societal expectations around relationships affect men and women differently.

“I do think men are often described as being commitment phobes and not as much women, but I do think that is rubbish,” Pete said, challenging the traditional narrative that men are less likely to commit than women. “I think women are, I would say, just as bad, but I don’t necessarily see it as a bad thing either.”

Pete, who has never been married and has no children, confessed that he’s aware of the stigma surrounding his relationship status. “I’m the only one on the panel that’s not married with kids. I am probably well known for being a bit of a commitment phobe, and I’ve never hidden that fact,” he admitted. For Pete, his lack of commitment isn’t a reflection of fear or reluctance, but rather a conscious choice that has shaped his life.

“I think everyone assumes that you have to commit, you have to do this [and] to do this, because society tells us you have to be married and you have to have kids—and you have to do all this sort of stuff by a certain age,” Pete continued, offering his critique of the pressure society places on individuals to meet certain milestones. “I am heading towards forty and I’m not married and all that sort of stuff. I think people do kind of have a bit of a stigma against that, but I think it’s just down to [that] it’s just been my choice to do that.”

Pete’s honesty about his views on relationships, as well as his openness about his tattoos, resonated with many viewers. His ability to speak candidly on these subjects helps to break down the walls of societal expectations and provides a refreshing perspective on personal choices and the importance of self-expression.

Whether it’s his ink or his approach to relationships, Pete Wicks continues to be an open book for his fans, offering a much-needed perspective on the pressures of modern life.
