Most 65 year-olds wouldn’t find themselves out on the town watching a sex-scene ridden play in London’s West End, but then again Madonna is no ordinary 65 year-old.

The American singer spent Saturday evening, sat in her own box at the Noël Coward Theatre.

Watching a play that has been described as one of the ‘most shocking’ to ever grace a London stage.

Opening earlier this month, the X-rated Slave Play has garnered controversy for its portrayal of mixed-race relationships.

Its repeated use of racial slurs, and its sexually graphic content – including a 10-minute naked sex scene with Game of Thrones’ Kit Harington.

The set includes a wall of mirrors providing a good view of the on-stage action that can be seen from all corners of the auditorium.

But theatre bosses have had to enforce camera-blocking stickers on mobile phones to protect the modesty of its actor from leaks.

It is not just the provocative content that has sparked outcry.

In February, then-prime minister Rishi Sunak condemned playwright Jeremy O’Harris’s plans to hold two nights ‘free from the white gaze’ for black audience members as ‘wrong and divisive’.

Despite mixed reviews, Madonna clearly loves it as she dropped backstage after the performance to thank the actors, including Harington and Olivia Whasington, for their raunchy display.

The pop star can’t get enough, as it’s not the first time she has seen the full frontal male nudity of Slave Play.

She watched an off-Broadway production in New York in 2018.

Madonna, who is no stranger to baring her flesh on Instagram, is currently staying at her £10m Georgian townhouse in Marylebone, London.

Sources say she is in the UK working on a biopic of her life.

Dan Cadan, a British writer who she has collaborated with before, is linked with the project, and it is rumored Julia Garner will play the Like A Virgin hitmaker.

While in London, the singer has posed sprawled out on the back seat of a 1968 Jaguar clutching a £3000 Louis Vuitton Speedy 25 Bandoulière handbag.

Other stars to have watched the controversial Slave Play since its opening include Dune actress Zendaya, star of The Queen’s Gambit, Anna Taylor-Joy, Matrix actor Laurence Fishburne and Heartstopper hunk Kit Connor.
