Brooklyn Beckham has been rushed to hospital after he broke his shoulder as he gave fans a health update on Friday.

Taking to Instagram with a snap from his hospital bed, the eldest Beckham son, 25, revealed the severe injury, but hasn’t explained how it occurred.

Brooklyn looked in good spirits despite the circumstances as he smiled in the black and white selfie.

Wearing a hospital gown, Brooklyn added his own sense of style to the look as he kept on a baseball cap which he wore backwards despite the hospital setting.

Sharing the health update with fans he paid tribute to his wife Nicola Peltz as he wrote:

‘Broke my shoulder but all good cause I have @nicolaannepeltzbeckham to look after me xx love you babe.’

While it is unknown how Brooklyn sustained the injury, the previous night he was out at modern Japanese restaurant ITO in New York.

The star shared multiple snaps and clips of his delicious food to his Instagram Story on Thursday evening, suggesting the injury happened sometime after his meal out.

Fans rushed to wish Brooklyn their best as they took to the comments with their sympathies.

They wrote: ‘have a speedy recovery!!!’; ‘Hope your healing goes well xx’; ‘omg, I hope Brooklyn that you have a good recover’; ‘Speedy recovery’.

While Brooklyn thanked his wife for her support, his family are currently cruising down the Amalfi Coast on their £16million superyacht.

David and Victoria have been travelling around Italy this past week, sailing around the Aeolian Islands before heading to Nerano.

The couple were joined by their other three children Romeo, Cruz and Harper, however Brooklyn and Nicola didn’t join the family holiday.

On Thursday David took to his Instagram with a selection of snaps from their time away as he gushed over spending time with his family, but admitted Brooklyn and Nicola were missed.

Sharing a group family shot of their five of them together as dinner, he penned: ‘Fun family summer we miss u Bust & Nicola. I love these moments of memories , I love you all’.

Earlier this week Nicola took to Instagram to express her grief about the death of her dog Nala, amid news she has reportedly taken legal action against a groomer who treated her pet chihuahua before she died.

‘I am truly still in so much shock and pain over my baby Nala suddenly passing last month following what should have been a routine grooming session,’ Nicola, 29, said in a post.

The emotional posting was accompanied with an image of her and her husband Brooklyn burying their beloved pet, as they embraced in front of a grave flanked with flowers.

‘I posted the experience on my Instagram to bring awareness, and was heartbroken to hear the horrifying stories from so many others who have experienced the same tragedy,’ Nicola said.

‘I can’t bear it. I’m outraged to hear how common stories like Nala’s are.’

She added, ‘We need to do better and change the laws to better protect fur babies and the loving owners who care for them. Our pets are our chosen family.

‘I’ve dedicated most of my life to saving dogs and I can’t in good conscious let this horrifying act happen to more families.’

She wrapped up in saying, ‘I will work for changes and laws to help make sure no one else ever has to experience this heartbreak. I will always use my voice to protect our innocent babies. Love, always, Nicola.’
