Celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo, 48, has been accused of making sexually inappropriate comments

and displaying distressing behavior on set, according to an investigation by ITV News.

The allegations, which span over a decade, were made by multiple individuals who claim that D’Acampo’s actions caused intimidation and discomfort on set.

The accusations involve incidents dating back as far as 2012, though one of the most recent

and concerning claims came from a female crew member who described an incident in 2019.

Despite the serious nature of these accusations, D’Acampo has firmly denied any wrongdoing.

The most serious of these claims centers around a remark D’Acampo allegedly made to a TV runner. One woman, who wished to remain anonymous, recalled being present during the incident, which reportedly took place in 2019. According to the woman, D’Acampo allegedly said to the runner, “If you don’t get me a Cornetto, I will f*** your girlfriend.” The woman expressed her shock and anger at the comment, describing it as highly inappropriate and distressing. She further stated that the incident left her feeling appalled, embarrassed, and disgusted by D’Acampo’s behavior.

The allegations did not stop there, as multiple former crew members came forward to share their experiences. One female staff member recounted that the incident had “stuck in [her] head,” and she described how D’Acampo used his position of power to bully and intimidate staff on the set of *Gino’s Italian Express*. According to the woman, D’Acampo’s “cheeky chappy” persona had allowed him to hide his inappropriate behavior in plain sight, making it difficult for others to challenge or report his actions at the time.

In response to these claims, D’Acampo’s legal representative expressed the chef’s regret over the allegations but denied the accusations. The spokesperson stated that D’Acampo was “mortified” by the suggestion that he made inappropriate comments to a junior staff member and insisted that he did not recall the incident in question. The statement emphasized that the words attributed to D’Acampo were “absolutely not ones that he would say.”

The chef himself has publicly denied the allegations in an official statement. In his response to ITV News, D’Acampo expressed his shock at the claims, stating that he had never been made aware of the allegations prior to the investigation. He also denied any intention to upset or distress anyone, stressing that such behavior was not in his nature. D’Acampo pointed out that he had received continuous support from high-level executives and had been commissioned for prime-time programs during the period when the alleged incidents supposedly occurred. He further stated that he had worked with over 1,500 people across 80 productions in his career and expressed his deep disappointment over the accusations.

MultiStory Media, the production company behind *Gino’s Italian Express*, issued a statement acknowledging their responsibility to protect all individuals working on their productions. The company confirmed that they were investigating the concerns raised in the ITV News report but refrained from commenting on specific details of the allegations. The statement also mentioned that since the series ended six years ago, MultiStory Media has not worked with D’Acampo. The company encouraged former production members to raise any concerns through the appropriate channels, including senior management, HR, or an independent anonymous hotline called Safecall.

As of now, D’Acampo has denied all allegations and is cooperating with the investigation. The accusations, however, have cast a shadow over his public image, and the case remains ongoing as more individuals come forward to share their experiences on set.

The story serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining a safe and respectful work environment for all individuals, regardless of their role or position within the production industry. It remains to be seen how this investigation will unfold and what actions, if any, will be taken in response to the accusations.
