Suri Cruise moved into her Carnegie Mellon dorm with help from her actress mother Katie Holmes as her estranged father Tom Cruise films another Mission: Impossible.

The 18-year-old college freshman was seen with the 45-year-old Dawson’s Creek star on campus of the private research university in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania over the weekend.

Meanwhile, her 62-year-old action man father has been busy working on Mission: Impossible 8 after taking part in the Olympic closing ceremony in Paris last week.

Suri and Katie were seen with bags in hand as they made their way up to her hall of residence at the top US university.

The teenager was dressed comfortably as she sported a white top over baggy jean shorts and white sneakers.

She accessorized with a black string necklace featuring a large silver flower pendant and multiple matching silver rings.

Her brunette tresses were pulled back in a ponytail as she accentuated her natural looks with complementary make-up.

Suri seemed in  good spirits as she had a massive smile on her face as she pulled along her massive luggage.

Katie donned a beige short-sleeved button down along with relaxed fit blue jeans.

She also had a blue and white long-sleeved shirt tied around her waist as she donned black leather flat shoes.

Katie accessorized with small black designer shades and multiple beaded necklaces.

The Batman Begins star pulled her hair back in a messy ponytail as she went make-up free.

This comes as DailyMail.com exclusively revealed that Suri is starting as a college freshman at Carnegie Mellon University, a private university in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, this month.

It seemed to be a long day of moving as the mother-daughter duo changed into different outfits.

Suri switched up her look as she sported a navy crewneck sweater along with tiny denim shorts and black sneakers.

She accessorized with a small black bag and donned white ankle socks.

Her brunette tresses were worn down as they flowed down her shoulders.

Katie donned a pink long-sleeved Polo Ralph Lauren dress shirt with most of the buttons undone and the sleeves rolled up.

She wore the same relaxed fit jeans and black leather flat shoes as she carried along a shopping bag from Anthropologie.

Her move-in day was on Sunday and she will begin classes on August 26, according to the school’s website.

And the child of Hollywood movie stars will have accommodations that are very different than what she is used to in New York City, DailyMail.com can report, as Suri will be sharing a dorm room with another female student.

After moving her daughter into the dorms, Katie was seen back in New York City on Monday.

The actress put on an effortlessly stylish display as she modeled an outfit very similar to what she wore over the weekend for her stroll through a park.

She sported an oversize, linen blouse with the sleeves rolled up and a pair of wide-leg jeans with thin stripes going down the front of both legs.

She wore the same pair of leather flats she wore over the weekend and carried a camel, leather tote bag.

To shield her eyes from the sun, she sported a pair of large, dark frames and threw on a dark blue baseball cap to complete her look.

As she walked, she was seen digging her phone out of her purse and checking for updates — perhaps texts from Suri.

‘Suri wants the full college experience so she is giving the dorm rooms a try and she will have a roommate,’ an insider told DailyMail.com. ‘She is excited for a new chapter in her life.’

Instead of mom Katie Homes’ three-bedroom high-rise luxury apartment, the teenager will be in a bare-bones dorm room.

The biggest dorm facility is Donner house, where first-year residents land. It is a four level mega monolith building with few frills where almost 250 kids piled in over the weekend.

There is also the smaller Scobell House which has a maximum of 88 students and is all female.

One of the highlights of Carnegie Mellon? The campus houses several restaurants that offer cappuccinos, croissants, pasta and smoothies. And there is a state-of-the-art wellness center.

The rooms can be for one person, two or three, depending on need and price.

One of the rooms has two bunk beds which means as many as four students can be crammed in the space.

Most of the dorm rooms offer furniture: there is a single bed with space underneath for storage, a five level chest of drawers, a desk with three drawers and a chair.

Donner House is a traditional-style residence hall consisting of four floors with a large community lounge on the first floor.

Donner is one of the larger communities on campus, consisting of around 240 first-year students.

‘Our size and our love for all things blue have inspired us to adopt the blue whale as our official house mascot. What has a bigger heart than a blue whale? (Answer: nothing.),’ the website states.

‘Despite our size, we boast a very tight knit and caring community with a lot of spirit,’ it was added.

Donner House is located in the Margaret Morrison Avenue Neighborhood.

There are plenty of amenities at the complex like a TV lounge, a study lounge, a recreational area, laundry facilities, and a kitchen.

But air conditioning is not available.

Scobell House does have AC, which is a major highlight.

Scobell is in the WHeSco community, which includes the houses Henderson and Welch. ‘WHeSco is proximate to many academic buildings and dining options in Resnik. Each building has a central area on the ground floor where students have access to lounges, laundry, and a kitchen,’ the website shared.

There is plenty of food to purchase on campus so Suri won’t go hungry as she crams for finals.

There are restaurants like Au Bon Pain café bakery at Cohon Center where Cruise can pick up chocolate croissants and sodas.

‘Each signature recipe is uniquely crafted. You can enjoy delicious hot or iced coffee and teas, espresso drinks, a variety of cold beverages, soup, a customized made-to-order breakfast or lunch sandwich or salad, or you can grab a pre-made salad, sandwich, wrap, yogurt parfait, fresh fruit or snack,’ the website says.

There is also a Ciao Bella restaurant for tasty pasta dishes like Fettucine Alfredo; it is also located at Cohon Center.

‘Ciao Bella takes a globally inspired approach to pasta. Discover a menu of traditional dishes and customizable pasta bowls featuring international flavors. Find penne and tortellini on the menu every day!?’ the website stated.

The Edge Cafe and Market at Resnik House is where Suri can get bagels and cream cheese as well as pizza.

‘The Edge is a Vaad-certified kosher cafe and market, serving freshly baked bagels, bagel sandwiches, Turkish bourekas, wraps, salads, pasta, and artisan pizzas baked in our hearthstone oven. It is located in Tartans Pavilion, overlooking Gesling Stadium,’ the site noted.

And there is a chic coffee house at Hunt Library.

‘De Fer Coffee & Tea serves locally-roasted specialty coffee, tea, and scratch-made food in the Maggie Murph Café in Hunt Library. Locally owned and operated by CMU alum, Atelier de Fer has been roasting coffee at its flagship store in Pittsburgh’s Strip District since 2017,’ the site shared.

They also offer muffins, cookies, paninis, smoothies and parfaits.

Grubhub is also allowed so students can get the best that the city has to offer delivered to them. And food trucks do come by the school to offer sandwiches, burgers and ice cream.

For fitness, there is a grand place to go as there is a huge building dedicated to wellness.

The new state-of-the-art Highmark Center for Health, Wellness and Athletics will ‘unify robust services, contemporary facilities and educational programs that support students’ minds, bodies and spirits in a comprehensive care model,’ the site said.

‘With new full-service clinical areas as an expanded University Health Services; private and supportive spaces for Counseling and Psychological Services; and a modern athletics facility for practice, performance, training and athlete care.’

Suri has a break coming up soon, however: Labor Day falls on September 2, and she will have that day off.

September 27 and 28 is Family weekend, and Katie is allowed to visit then.

Tom, whom Suri is estranged from, won’t be there.

It has been hinted by Katie that Suri may be studying acting and dance at Carnegie Mellon. Holmes told Town & Country magazine that after college, her daughter wants to enter showbiz.

Both Katie and Suri’s father Tom have been in the industry since their early 20s.

The magazine claimed that Suri ‘is said to be interested in pursuing a career in fashion or acting.’ That does not sound off base Suri starred in a high school production of The Addams Family.

And Katie has already put Suri to work on two of her films.Suri contributed vocals to songs in two of Holmes’ films – the 2023 drama Rare Objects and 2022 romantic drama Alone Together.

‘I’m proud of my daughter,’ Holmes told Town & Country of her daughter.

‘Of course, I will miss the close proximity, but I’m really proud of her and I’m happy.’

Holmes, speaking with Glamour in April 2023, said that she has sought to encourage Suri’s performing on her projects.

‘I hope she always does something on my films,’ Holmes said. ‘I always ask her.’

Holmes said that ‘both of those experiences came out of the same sense of what I love about our industry, which is, you have these projects and you become a family with people.’

Holmes said she strived to create a ‘safe, beautiful, creative space’ for Suri to hone her craft as a performer.

‘So it comes out of love for me to include someone who I love dearly,’ Holmes said.

‘It was very meaningful to me to have her there, because she’s my heart.’

Also Carnegie Mellon has College of Fine Arts department which Holly Hunter and Ted Danson have graduate from.

Meanwhile, Tom abseiled down into the State de France during the closing ceremony at the Paris Olympics.

The Mission: Impossible actor performed one of his trademark stunts at Sunday’s ceremony.

He slid 115-feet on a rope from the venue’s roof.

Then he rode his motorcycle onto a plane, parachuted out and climbed the Hollywood sign.

It was part of the handover to Los Angeles for the 2028 Games.

Tom was seen greeting athletes present at the ceremony before landing and taking the Olympic flag away on a motorbike.

A pre-recorded segment then showed the Top Gun star carrying the flag back to the US on a plane before he draped it over the Hollywood sign.

A report from TMZ earlier this month revealed that the Los Angeles element of the stunt was filmed in March and insiders admitted they had expected the Hollywood star to be spotted and the information to be leaked beforehand.

Cruise is said to have been the driving force behind the spectacle and approached the International Olympic Committee (IOC) himself about doing a series of stunts to bring the Paris and Los Angeles Games together.
