Ben Affleck has been spending time with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s 36-year-old daughter Kick Kennedy amid his divorce from Jennifer Lopez.
A Hollywood insider tells Page Six they have been spotted at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel and other hotspots.
The nature of their relationship remains unclear. Kick declined to comment, while Affleck’s reps did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request.
Jennifer Lopez, 55, filed for divorce from Affleck, 52, on Tuesday following months of breakup rumors.
Page Six learned their marriage had been over since March, though the “On the Floor” hitmaker listed their date of separation as April 26.
She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split.
One of those differences is likely that Affleck could not stand the media attention their relationship brought him.
Page Six even reported in 2022 that the “Argo” star “freaked out” on their honeymoon in Paris due to the paparazzi, bringing about flashbacks of why their first relationship ended: the pressure of the media spotlight.
An Affleck insider tells Page Six that he is not ashamed of his need for solitude and is “proud of the fact that he always has and always will take care of himself.”
“He has never— and seemingly will never— give himself over completely to another person,” they add.
This, of course, is a problem for Lopez.
“The kind of big love Jennifer believes in, that sort of all-consuming devotion? Ben played along for a while and wanted to be part of it, but it’s just not who he is,” the insider explains.
A person close to the “This Is Me… Now” star told Page Six earlier in August that she feels embarrassed over their failed marriage because she was convinced she and Affleck were finally going to make their love work.
“She’s furious,” they said. “He has humiliated her. He was the one who initiated getting back together.”
“He’s humiliated her because she made a big deal that he’s the love of her life.”
To add salt to the wound, Lopez tried desperately to save their marriage while Affleck showed no interest in it at all.
“He hasn’t shown any commitment and interest in making their marriage work. It’s gotten to the point that she just needs to look out for herself,” a source confirmed to Page Six this week.
The pair eloped in Las Vegas in July 2022 — 20 years after they were originally set to walk down the aisle.
They then held a formal ceremony for family and friends weeks later at Affleck’s estate in Georgia.
