Nikita Kuzmin, the talented 27-year-old dancer known for his appearances on *Strictly Come Dancing*,
made a heartfelt and emotional confession on ITV’s *Loose Women*, admitting that life is not easy, especially when it comes to his family in Ukraine.
The dancer, who has been part of the BBC dance show since 2021, appeared on the panel to discuss upcoming projects,
but the conversation quickly turned to his personal life as he bravely opened up about his loved ones caught in the middle of the ongoing war.
Nikita, who has been a part of the *Strictly* tour, is also set to embark on his own tour called *Nikita Kuzmin Midnight Dancer* in 2025.
During his time on the panel with Kaye Adams, Linda Robson, Myleene Klass, and Nadia Sawalha, the topic of his family’s safety and well-being in Ukraine came up, and Nikita’s emotions became palpable as he spoke candidly about the difficulties he faces.
He began by sharing that despite the challenges, he stays in constant communication with his family. “I try to keep communicating with them every day,” he said, his voice tinged with emotion. “Life is not easy, and I don’t like pretending that everything is going beautifully, because it’s not.” As he fought back tears, Nikita made it clear that the reality of the war and the fear for his family’s safety weighs heavily on him.
“I would just love everybody to be safe,” he added, visibly emotional. It’s heartbreaking, to be honest, really hard to talk about in some way.”

His upcoming tour, *Midnight Dancer*, has been a dream of his for years. “I cannot comprehend the fact that even more than my mum is coming to see me,” he said, expressing his excitement and gratitude. “It’s a real dream come true. I’ve always dreamt of it, and it’s been four years in the making. It’s finally happening.”
The tour, which Nikita described as “the most beautiful story,” will showcase themes of love, betrayal, hope, and pain, ultimately celebrating the love that everyone craves. He revealed that it’s a story rarely seen in *Strictly* tours, making it even more special for both him and his audience.
When asked by panelist Nadia Sawalha about his relationship with his girlfriend, Lauren Jaine, who he began dating in 2023, Nikita shared a glimpse into their life together. “I’m a romantic guy,” he confessed, with a smile. “I love to organize surprises.” Nikita went on to share that he buys flowers for Lauren every week, expressing his deep affection for her. “I love Lauren so, so much, and I’m really happy. I feel very lucky to support her in her career, and she supports me in mine.”
As Nikita prepares for a busy 2025 with his own tour and continued success on *Strictly*, it’s clear that family remains at the forefront of his heart and mind.
