House Of The Dragon fans have been gripped to their screens for the finale with Daemon Targaryen discovering his fate.
The Dance Of The Dragons has been the focus of season two with the ongoing power struggles for the Iron Throne at the heart of the Sky Atlantic and HBO prequel.
Everything came to a head in the eighth and final episode though for Daemon Targaryen (played by Matt Smith).
During an all-important encounter with healer Alys Rivers (Gayle Rankin).
In this crucial scene, Alys shows Daemon the future with moments from Game Of Thrones, including the White Walkers and the Song Of Ice And Fire prophecy.
This in turn encourages him to re-pledge his loyalty to Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) when she finally goes to see what’s happening in Harrenhal.
In the vision, Daemon sees a number of key moments from the future, the first being Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) with the dragon eggs hatching from Game Of Thrones.
Another scene taken from the original fantasy drama was that of the terrifying White Walkers and fallen dragons, leading him to tell Rhaenyra later on that winter is coming.
He also sees Rhaenerya sitting on the Iron Throne which convinces him that she is the ruler to unite the realm against the evil in the north.
But Daemon’s own fate is sealed when he watches himself plunging into water, believed to be the God’s Eye lake, presumably to his death.
Heleana (Phia Saban) also appears before him and tells Daemon: “You know what you must do”.
All of this pushes him to show his full support for Rhaenyra by the end of the second outing in leading the way on the Iron Throne.
So with a third series already confirmed, how will this vision affect Daemon’s decisions going forward?
